Las Vegas Food Finds

Las Vegas is known for over the top hotels, casinos, entertainment, and of course food. Five star restaurants and celebrity chefs line the famous strip, but industry insiders know that just off the main street of Las Vegas Blvd. are some of the best food finds.

Due Forni is located at 3555 S. Town Center Drive, and is one of the best new Italian restaurants in Vegas serving up a new trend in food. Hand-crafted pizzas are extrememly popular and a cut above the rest with Chef Carlos Buscagalia’s rare and authentic Italian ingredients like black truffles, pequillo peppers and San Marzano tomatoes from around the base of Mt. Vesuvius.

Cooked in one of the few in the countries dual design ovens, you can order both Neapolitan and Roman style pizzas simultaneously. But Due Forni isn’t just for pizza lovers. This restaurant serves up an array of Italian inspired dishes all cooked in the dual design ovens.

Chocolate + Spice is located at 7293 W. Sahara and is run by award winning chef Megan Romano. She formally worked in the famed Aureole restaurant as the pastry chef with Charlie Palmer. She left the restaurant and published her own cookbook, It’s a Sweet Life.

Later she opened the Chocolate + Spice bakery just off the Vegas Strip. She serves artisan chocolates and decadent pasteries daily. But also try the more savory dishes like butternut squash soup with lemon Israeli couscous, oven-roasted vegetable and parmesan frittatas, or fresh seasonal salads.
