“This seductive Mediterranean island has lured visitors for centuries,” said Tourissimo Founder Beppe Salerno. “We’ll steep ourselves in the sights, scents, and flavors of the western part of Sicily, an area less exploited by tourism.”

The celebrity chefs will not only cycle 25-60 miles per day with guests but also source the best local ingredients and prepare two dinners for the group. Their role is also to help participants understand how the territory is linked to local cuisine through Q&A’s and more.

“In addition to its great wines, Sicilian cuisine usually consists of tomatoes, eggplants, artichokes, plenty of seafood, and yes, lots of pasta and olive oil,” said Salerno. “Sicily’s lemons, oranges, figs, almonds, and apricots are among the best in the world.”

Highlights of the tour include Palermo and its Arab-Norman architecture (a UNESCO World Heritage Site); Monreale and its cathedral Corleone;  the ruins of Selinunte; The Egadi Islands; Saline near Trapani; and a lesser traveled, Bucolic Sicily.
