Sharm el Sheikh’s Royal Savoy is the Place to Stay

Get ready to be treated royally at the Royal Savoy in Sharm el Sheik.

I’m visiting the seaside in Egypt.  So where do I stay?  Where is the best hotel for holidays to Sharm el Sheikh?  To answer this we consulted with the world’s largest repository of both nasty and flattering hotel reviews…TripAdvisor.  Below are some of the latest highlights that guests reported about their Sharm el Sheikh hotel experiences.

Here’s a rave about the Royal Savoy, posted August 27, 2012  by a guest from the UK. “If you are going to stay in Sharm, you must stay at the Royal Savoy. My sister and I had a wonderful holiday. We were met at the airport by Abdullah who helped fast-track us through and we arrived at the hotel to a very warm welcome.

The staff – particularly Slavka in reception – were incredibly attentive and helpful. The staff by the pool were excellent and given the hot weather we were very appreciative of the cool towels and constant refreshments.”

Another Brit had more raves: “There is simply nothing that is to much trouble and the pride the team take in making your stay simply effortless is outstanding. Its the small touches that make it special, the fresh iced water every hour at the pool, the lovely cakes in the room daily, the club cars to take you wherever you want when you want.”

The only thing bad was this advice about nearby Naabma Bay:  “One piece of advice, if you are visiting Naama Bay, avoid the local food! We became ill almost certainly from eating at one of the local restaurants in Naama Bay, even after getting local advice of where to eat. Stick to the hotel or Soho Square restaurants and you’ll be ok. I think the hotel should also consider advising this as it seems to me that eating outside of the resort is like playing Russian roulette with your digestive system!

Remember you are in Sharm for the sun, the diving, the sites but not the food… even though Egyptian food is actually very good.”
